EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE

CLEANSE

  1. Begin by brushing your hair to remove any tangles and prevent matting before entering the shower.

  2. Opt for a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to maintain the vibrancy of your hair color and extensions.

  3. When shampooing, be gentle on your natural hair and between rows, avoiding vigorous scrubbing.

  4. Rinse your hair thoroughly to ensure no product is left behind.

  5. Apply conditioner and use a wet brush to evenly distribute the conditioner through your hair and extensions, sealing down the cuticle.

  6. Rinse well to avoid any product residue.

  7. Incorporate a weekly mask into your routine for added moisture and nourishment.

  8. Absorb excess water from your hair using a microfiber towel while it's still soaking wet.

BRUSH & BLOW DRY

  1. Using a Wet Brush, start detangling your hair from the ends, working your way up. Stop brushing when you reach the top of the weft.

  2. Clip up everything except your natural hair underneath the bottom row. Begin brushing from there. Drop down each subsequent row, brushing out your natural hair in between, until you reach the top row. Finish by brushing out the natural hair on top.

  3. Prioritize protection - apply a heat protectant!

  4. Roughly dry your hair until it's 80% dry, avoiding tugging at the extensions. Use only your hands and fingers during this phase.

  5. For a quicker blow-dry, section out each row and rough dry them separately.

  6. During the final 20% of your blow-dry, you can use a round brush with a small amount of tension to smooth both your natural hair and extensions.

  7. Limit heat styling to 2-3X a week!

SLEEP

  1. Brush thoroughly and make sure you're going to bed with dry hair!

  2. Do one or two loose braids and secure with a silk scrunchie. A loose low pony is another option.

  3. Sleep on a silk pillowcase.
